Marinated Beef Tenderloin Recipe

Prep Time1 day
Cook Time45 minutes
Servings: 6 people

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 Lbs of Beef tenderloin

For the marinade:

  • ½ Cup of Brandy
  • ½ Cup of Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ Cup of vegetable oil
  • 2 Cloves of garlic peeled & crushed
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon of crushed black pepper

Instructions

  • Make the marinade: Get out a large bowl and add all of the marinade ingredients to it. Then use either a fork or a whisk to mix the ingredients together until the sugar has dissolved. Should take you only 2 minutes.
  • Marinate the beef tenderloin overnight: Place the beef tenderloin into a gallon sized plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Then roll the bag until most of the air is out and close it. Let the beef tenderloin marinate in your fridge overnight, or for a total of 24 hours.
  • Turn half of your grill’s burners on high, or if you are using a charcoal grill, place the hot charcoals on one half of the grill. We are doing this because we are going to be cooking the beef tenderloin indirectly.
  • Cook the beef tenderloin: Place the beef tenderloin on the side of your grill which has its burners running, and quickly sear it on each side for a minute or two. Then take the tenderloin and place it on the other side of the grill. Close the grill up and let the tenderloin indirectly cook for 40 minutes to an hour depending on how done you prefer your beef.
  • Take the beef tenderloin off the grill and let it rest for a minimum of 10 minutes before slicing it up. Enjoy!
