Pepperoni Pizza Dip

Ok, so we still have a few more days left before the big game this Sunday.  Which should be great news for all of us! Why? Because it means there’s still plenty of time to plan our food spread for our parties.  Now we’ve already shown you all how to make some great appetizers such as buffalo wings, shrimp with cocktail sauce, and our latest recipe game day snack mix.  But the more the merrier I say which is why today we are going to show you how to make yet another appetizer. Delicious pepperoni pizza dip.

This is a recipe that my mother always prepares on gamedays.  Because it tastes great, it’s relatively cheap to make, and it couldn’t be easier to prepare.  In fact, I would go as far as to say that this is my mother’s most requested recipe. However, most people that ask for it are often disappointed, because like most of my mother’s dishes there is no true recipe.  But for the sake of your sanity, we have sat down, prepared this pepperoni pizza dip, and measured all of the ingredients.

That being said this is still a recipe that should be adjusted to your personal taste.  If you want more cheese, then add more cheese. If you like it saucier, then pour on some more sauce.  Your friends and family are meat lovers, then toss on a couple more slices of pepperoni. Honestly just don’t overthink it and make it yours!!

Tips, Tricks & Suggestions

  • Just like a regular pizza you can do whatever you want as far as toppings.  You can make it a cheese by omitting the pepperoni. Or maybe make it a supreme by adding onions, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, and sausage.
  • Typically my mother will just serve this with Fritos scoops because it’s easy.  And if I’m being honest they taste great with this dip. However, if you want to make this a little fancier then slice up a baguette and toast it in the oven.  You can even make it garlic toast by spreading on some garlic butter.
  • Typically I’ll just use my favorite store-bought brand of pizza sauce.  However, homemade sauces such as our recipe for Tony’s marinara sauce work great too.
  • If you have leftovers, which is unlikely, then simply reheat the dip in a microwave.
