There are few things in life quite as simple as making your own salad dressing. In fact, you can easily whip up just about any type of vinegarette that you want by remembering one simple ratio. 1 part acid (i.e. vinegar, citrus juice) to 3 parts oil. That’s it, then you just add in any additional seasonings and flavors to make that salad dressing unique. And today’s recipe for honey mustard dressing is no exception to that rule.
First, we start off with our simple ratio by combining 1 part apple cider vinegar with 3 parts extra virgin olive oil in a little jar. Then we toss in a copious amount of dijon mustard and honey, along with a pinch or two of salt and pepper. And finally, we seal the jar with a lid and shake everything until it is nice and mixed. In the end, you’re left with a salad dressing that is sweet, spicy and makes any salad your pour it on to pop with flavor. So if you’re ready then let’s get into it.
