Tips, Tricks & Suggestions
- What type of lamb chops should you use?: Most of the time you will find three different types of lamb chops at your local grocery store. Lion, Rib, and Should. And they are all great cuts for this dish, but do have their own qualities that should be noted. - Make your own harissa: Of course, you can use any brand of harissa that you can find for this marinade. But I highly recommend that make check out our recipe so you can make some for yourself.
- How long should you marinate your chops?: A minimum of 30 minutes to make sure that the chops are flavorful. However, they will become more tender and delicious if you marinate them for longer. (up to 24 hours)
- Serving suggestion: I like to serve these harissa lamb chops with some sort of grain like rice (Saffron Rice), cous cous, or quinoa, and a light refreshing salad.

Ingredients
3 to 4 Lamb chops
2 Tablespoons of harissa paste
1 Tablespoon of olive oil
1 Tablespoon of yogurt
Juice from ½ a lemon
Pinch of salt & black pepper, or to taste
Instructions
- Marinade the chops: mix together the harissa paste, olive oil, yogurt, lemon juice, salt & pepper in a medium sized bowl. Add the lamb chops and toss so until they are coated in the marinade. Cover this bowl with a plastic warp and place it in your fridge to marinade for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
- Preheat your grill to high
- Grill the chops: Place the lamb chops on your heated grill and let them cook for 4 to 6 minutes on each side or until it is nicely charred and has an internal temperature of 145℉/63℃.
- Serve the harissa lamb chops immediately and enjoy!
