Hot Turkey Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

  • Leftover sliced turkey meat
  • Leftover turkey gravy
  • Sliced bread of your choice
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Shred the turkey meat: Take a slice or two of turkey meat and use your hands to rip them into smaller pieces. While this step isn’t necessary it will help the turkey meat cook through better.
  • Heat the turkey meat and gravy together: Place the shredded turkey meat along with two large scoops of gravy into a small pan. Then place this pan over high heat and stir everything until the gravy begins to bubble. At this point, if there seems to be not enough gravy you can add in an extra scoop or two. Similarly, if there seems to be too much gravy then simply toss in some more shredded turkey. Once the amounts seem right for you just let the turkey and gravy simmer for a minute or two.
  • Assemble the sandwich: Place a slice of bread on a plate and then pour the turkey and gravy mixture over top. Then sprinkle on some salt and pepper to taste and dig in!
