Chipotle Cream Sauce Recipe

Total Time5 minutes
Servings: 1 Cup

Ingredients

  • ½ Cup of sour cream
  • ½ Cup of mayo
  • 2-3 Chipotle peppers in adobo minced
  • ¼ Teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Juice of 3 to 4 limes

Instructions

  • Mince the chipotle peppers: Take the chipotle peppers out of the can and onto a cutting board. It is at this time that you will need to decide how spicy you want this sauce to be. Essentially if you like it milder then you will need to slice open the chili and discard the seeds, yet if you like it spicy, then leave then in. After you have decided simply mince up the chipotles.
  • Mix the ingredients: Add the minced chipotle peppers, along with the sour cream, mayo, garlic powder, and lime juice to a small bowl. Take a fork or a whisk and mix all of these ingredients together. If the sauce seems a little too thick for your liking then you can always add a splash of water to it. Simply add a splash at a time and remix until it is the thickness you desire.
  • Let sit: Cover this bowl, and let it sit in your refrigerator for at least a couple hours before using so that all of the flavors have time to meld together.
